Harry Potter actress target of dad and brother
The father and brother of the 23-year-old actress, who plays Padma Patil in the Harry Potter films, were in a London court Tuesday facing charges of threatening to kill her during a fight at her Manchester home last month.

Azad's brother, Ashraf, 28, is also charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, according to the U.K.'s Sun.
Details are sparse, but the alleged attack is said to have occurred on May 21.
Both Ashraf and his father, 54-year-old Abdul Azad, have been released on bail and court was adjourned until July 12 while committal proceedings occur to get the case sent to Manchester Crown Court.
But at least Azad has something nice to look forward to: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, her fourth Potter film, opens Nov. 19 and is already the subject of major buzz.
Her role in the franchise is her only feature acting experience—she was discovered by a casting agent while studying at Xaverian College.

Mel Gibson's new racist rant against Oksana
In 2006, the actor famously unleashed an anti-Semitic tirade during his DUI arrest a few years ago. Now the Lethal Weapon star may be in even more trouble after allegedly being taped while using the N-word and spewing a lot of other horrible things.
"You're an embarrassment to me. You look like a f--king pig in heat and if you get raped by a pack of n---ers it will be your fault," Gibson is heard on tape, according to RadarOnline.
Gibson's rep declined to comment on the latest rant, which reportedly comes courtesy of a recording made by baby mama Oksana Grigorieva during an ugly argument at the height of the couple's breakup and custody fight.
If we were Mel's camp, we'd be keeping our mouths shut, too.
Per the website, the star also called Oksana a "whore" and a "c--t," among other unsavory put-downs.
"How dare you act like such a bitch when I have been so f--king nice," he is quoted at one point.
"I am going to come and burn the f--king house down...but you will blow me first," goes another quote.
The not-so-veiled threats are in addition to a slew of inflammatory emails the 54-year-old Gibson supposedly sent that the 40-year-old Russian musician has held on to, presumably for safe keeping in the event she needs them in a court of law.
The Oscar winner is locked in a nasty court battle with Grigorieva, the mother of his nine-month-old daughter, over financial and custody arrangements in the wake of their separation back in April. Oksana has reportedly taken out a restraining order against him after she claimed he got "extremely violent" and punched her twice in the face. Gibson's lawyer described this exchange as a "loud argument."
Gibson, as everyone remembers, made headlines for his notorious drunken outburst in which he yelled at Malibu's Finest after he was busted for driving under the influence in 2006, saying, "F--king Jews...Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world."
Gibson's reputation and career took a major hit, especially in the wake of allegations of anti-Semitism in his 2004 blockbuster The Passion of the Christ. But after keeping a low profile and issuing several public apologies, people in Hollywood seemed to forgive and forget.

Relative newcomer Andrew Garfield has been cast as Peter Parker—and, consequently, Spider-Man—in Sony Picture's upcoming reboot of the billion-dollar franchise.

Even Garfield, 26, whose most significant screen time to date is a starring role in the upcoming thriller The Social Network, just got the news Thursday afternoon, a Sony rep said.
The original intent was to make a Spider-Man 4 with Tobey Maguire and Sam Raimi, but it stalled in preproduction and the studio opted to start from scratch with a prequel take on the comic book classic.
Garfield, a Los Angeles native, also appeared in The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus and Lions for Lambs.
"Though his name may be new to many, those who know this young actor's work understand his extraordinary talents," says director Marc Webb. "He has a rare combination of intelligence, wit, and humanity. Mark my words, you will love Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker."
Garfield's inevitably hyped superhero debut hits theaters July 3, 2012. Cameras start rolling in December.

Tori Spelling's husband hospitalized after motorcycle crash
Tori Spelling's daredevil hubby, Dean McDermott, is currently hospitalized in a Los Angeles-area intensive care unit after sustaining a punctured, collapsed lung in a dirt bike accident Tuesday.
"He's expected to make a full recovery," the couple's rep told, adding that Dean will remain laid up in the ICU "for a few more days."

The 43-year-old wiped out on a dirt bike trail earlier this week while riding recreationally with a couple of friends.
"Thanks for the well wishes," Dean—who so loves his extreme sports that his Twitter account is Deanracer—tweeted to fans this morning. "A collapsed lung is no fun, and is a lengthy heal. Feeling pretty bad today. Day 2 is always the worst."
Tori, meanwhile, is no doubt concerned for her hubby's welfare—though she has a funny way of showing it.
Namely by not really showing it at all (or at least not until an exclusive placement comes a-knocking).
While Dean's accident and hospitalization twofer took place two days ago, Spelling has been steadily tweeting since then, though has curiously failed to make even one mention of her better half's health.
Not so her son's ailments, as Tori shared with the world that 3-year-old Liam is currently suffering from a mean case of heat rash. Get well soon, both McDermott men.
